Support Your Local Volunteer Fire Department

Ever see your local volunteer fire department asking for donations, doing fundraisers and you are wondering what you money is going for or if you are helping a worthy cause? Here are some photographs of some of the fire calls I have worked. This is by far not all of them, only the ones I managed to snap some pictures of.

This was a housefire on a Sunday afternoon. We were just leaving church only to find out this house belonged to one of our church members.

The was a grass fire but really it was a trash pile burning out of control on a cold, windy afternoon. This was my very first fire call after the tornado.

This fire was a house fire in July when it was 110 degrees outside. Thankfully the lady who lived in this house made it out just fine.

(sorry the photo is small) This is a business where they made flavored smoke chips for the smoker. This was a joint effort from many departments as you can imagine.

Roll over accident on the highway. This is very common since we have a major intersection running through our city.

This is how much bunker gear costs and right now, we are in desperate need of bunker gear for our department.

And just in case you didn't think girls/women can do it, ask me or the many other women who go out and fight fires with the boys/guys.

Have you ever asked yourself what you would do?
