Jill's First Trip To Build A Bear

Fine I am a crappy mother...my daughter, age 12, just went to Build A Bear for the first time ever....Happy Birthday Jilli Bean!

It was actually kind of funny how it worked out. This year she was at her dad's for her birthday (got to love divorces) so I had to wait until she came back home to do anything for her. She had never really said anything about Build A Bear, I guess maybe part of the reason I had never taken her. From the time I picked her up on Sunday I had her in suspense. I told her that Monday when JT got off work, we would be headed to do something for her birthday. Since we ate at home before we left, she knew we weren't taking her out to eat. After we got to the mall, I told her to stop and let me take her picture.

This was her expression when she found out we were going to Build a Bear.
Now maybe you've never been to Build A Bear either. It's an awesome place for anyone. The first thing you do is chose your stuffed animal or bear. This is Jill trying to decide which one she wanted. It only took about 5 minutes for her to decide.
This little guy, I mean girl, was the winner. After you chose a bear you can pick a sound, something we skipped and you make your way to the stuffing machine.

If it's your birthday you get a sticker with your name and how old you are...thank you Build A Bear.
This is Jill controlling the flow of stuffing going into her bear and the awesome lady, Nicole who works at Build A Bear in Arlington, TX.
No, she wasn't enjoying herself at all. (Hello facial expression)
Each bear gets a heart. You rub it on her head for knowledge, your cheek for something else and your heart for love.
Then you get to yell really loud in the store that you are giving your bear a heart. Jill did not yell really loudly but she had a good time.
Your bear then gets stitched up and you move on down the line.

This is where you new baby gets an "air bath" to make sure you get all the fuzzies off of him or her.
Out of all the outfits (picture a few more down) this is the outfit she chose for her new baby.
This was JT helping her create the birth certificate and choosing a name. We now have 3 babies of Jill's in our house: Taylor Taylor, Isabella and now Kaylee. (Kaylee was once our neighbor and Jill's BFF but was a total brat so I thought it was cute and endearing that Jill named her bear after the one girl she loved and the one I wanted to run away from)
All the other outfits that didn't get picked.

And this is what happens at Build A Bear when you have a birthday.

Love how her feet are in this pic.

This little guy was my fave: overalls, cowboy boots and hat
but this is the one all my Texas fans wanted or
 maybe this one.

We had an awesome time at Build A Bear.
